Avenging Cpl. Jeffrey A. Boskovich

There are times in this life where you must let compassion take a back seat to moral indignation and righteous vengance. Let the US military unleash all its might and firepower on any who give aid or comfort to The Army of Ansar al-Sunnah.
Right: A photo of Cpl. Jeffery A. Boskovitch and Sgt. David Coullard--both KIA by the Army of Ansar al-Sunnah Wednesday. A video was released by The Army of Ansar al-Sunnah showing the effects of the attack. The video may be downloaded here (see August 4th entry). Graphic and disgusting images from the video below show the body of Jeffrey A. Boskovitch, a terrorist from the Army of Ansar al-Sunnah removing his dog tags, and his dog tags.
Today, the US military unleashed Operation Quick Strike in the area where 14 Marines were killed on Wednesday. AP (via Polipundit):
About 1,000 U.S. Marines and Iraqi soldiers have launched a major operation in western Iraq to disrupt insurgents and foreign fighters in the Euphrates River valley, the U.S. military said Friday.
The operation, dubbed Quick Strike, began Wednesday with Iraqi soldiers and Marines positioning their units, said a military statement. They are focused on an area centered on the cities of Haditha, Haqlaniyah and Parwana, about 140 miles northwest of Baghdad....
On Friday, about 800 U.S. Marines and sailors and 180 Iraqi troops, including Special Operations forces, moved into the city of Haqlaniyah, the Marine statement said. U.S. jets attacked insurgents hiding in buildings outside the town.
Residents in the area said U.S. and Iraqi forces had cordoned off Haqlaniyah and were conducting house-to-house searches. U.S. warplanes circled overhead and a number of heavy explosions were heard. Witnesses said 500-pound bombs were being dropped in the area.
In a statement issued Friday, the U.S. military said an Abrams tank fired at rebels armed with Kalashnikov rifles and rocket-propelled grenades south of Haqlaniyah while other U.S. tanks fired on a building where insurgents were shooting at coalition forces.
Two buildings were destroyed after Marines found them rigged with explosives.
"Wires were connected to numerous 155 mm artillery rounds scattered throughout both buildings," the U.S. statement said.
The U.S. military has defended its operations in western Iraq, insisting it is reducing insurgent attacks, despite the deaths of the 14 Marines. The extremist Ansar al-Sunnah Army claimed responsibility in a Web posting and said its fighters used two bombs to destroy the vehicle.
Graphic images below. Do not look at them unless you wish to see the true face of the enemy we fight. Look at the face of a dead Marine, killed by the cowards who hide among women and children for fear of detection.

Rusty:
Let loose the Dogs of War! B-1, B-2, and B-52 squadrons should make a wasteland of Haditha. We should warn the rest of the Sunni Triangle that this is how each and every one of your cities and towns will look like if you continue to aid the terrorist insurgency.

I'm just about there as well. I don't like to see civilians killed in war, but if these savages hide in towns, then waste the towns. Make it clear to the Sunni that harboring the bad guys is going to cost you dearly. And I don't really think the Shia or the Kurds would give a damn.

I'm about ready to go myself, but they probably wouldn't want my out of shape butt. However, I think we need to take drastic action and ramp up the operations in an attempt to get these guys and their allies in Syria.
Speaking of which, it should be made very clear to the Syrians that it would be in their interest to stop the infiltration. The news that shaped explosives manufactured in Iran are being sent into Iraq is another troubling development.
I suppose all the radical buggers want to climb onto the ship of fools now traveling through Iraq. We just need to sink it.

Send a cruse missile to visit a military target in Syria every time we have a murder like this.
We should only consider a change in the cruse missile policy if Syria comes to us and asks what they can do to help seal the boarder and stop the attacks. We are letting these tin horn Arab states kill with impunity.

Interesting survey just taken in England. 52% of British citizens of middle eastern background claims to be muslims first and British citizens 2nd.
26% say they really don't care what happens to the future of the English nation.
Only mass deportations will save England. When will they wake up? Close to two million potential terrorists in their little country. Is it too late to save England? France? Germany? Is this the reason they bow to Iran's nuclear plans? Doesn't Europe understand that the west is at war with Islam?

I'm not sure I agree that showing these images on MSM would kindle American anger. I think the left would use the footage to say this fight isn't worth "this." I also hate to say this, but we are a country desensitized with images of violence. Nothing seems real to us.
The MSM knows also that the families of the soldiers who die would be appalled at the image of their loved on on TV.
That being said, we do know have THIS...the blogosphere! Those of us interested enough get the story and then move the story. That is why I am glad you posted this. It helps us all to understand the enemy we fight and know that it is a good fight.

The man in the picture beside Jeff Boskovich is my Nephew, David. Yes, pictures like this would anger our fellow Americans, but what about the families of the fallen soldiers? Haven't they gone through even pain already? Let's face it; we are dealing with barbaric animals, period.

Jeff Boskovitch in the pictures above is a friend of mine. It hurts to see these pictures displayed like this. The beauty of a human being fighting for what is right and decent, does not deserve the pain and humiliation that these people have placed him through. My heart goes to his family and friends. Prayers are with him, and my only hope is that America as well as our soldiers begin to believe in this country, the fight we are fighting and the true reality that may be brought into your lives. We never know if that fallen hero, is your brother, friend, neighbor, teacher or stranger on the street. Whomever it may be, they are fighting for YOU> WE only have control over one thing in life, and that is ourselves. We cannot control the actions these Iraqi men make, or that of our government or fellow Americans, but the way we react to these images and desolate situations are the choices and actions we choose to make. Make the right choice and pray for our Country and for the choices others will choose to make.

I did not know Cpl. Boskovitch but I did know the Marine in the picture with him, Sgt David Coullard, a long-time friend. It sickens me to the core that these insurgents can so calmly and nonchalently degrade and dehumanize human life in the way that they do. I hope to God that those responsible for taking the lives of these brave soldiers were made to suffer in the same agonizing way and have already met their demise...they wrecked and ravaged the lives of those they took and no God or Allah or whatever higher power one believes in could possibly praise the sick and demented beliefs they have. To those Marines who continue the fight, know that we are behind you 100% for what you do to keep our country free from this type of savagery. SEMPER FI TO OUR AMERICAN HEROES.

Sgt David Coullard was one of my close friends growing up. Dave was one of the most good hearted, strong willed guys you could meet. I sure hope my friend didn't die for oil. It really hits home when it is someone that you are close to, as I wrote to President Bush. He had no answer. May God bless Dave and all other soldiers for fighting for our country. These animals need to be taken care of quickly and swiftly with no compassion. They are here in America as well. I was sitting on my porch a month ago and a man was walking by yelling>>>>>>>> I hate America, I'm Sorry.......I Am From Iraq. He yelled this over and over all the way down the street. He's lucky I didn't kick the shit out of him. I would probably say that I was somewhat shocked by this. A week later I saw him walking around hunched over with his hands clinched together behind his back. Take a look at what recently, has happened with Saddam. He is now being humanized by the media. He likes Doritos, gives good marriage advice, etc. This is a bunch of BS. Why would our "liberal media" humanize this animal? Why would they go and try to give him a face. Make him a human being as we all are when he is not. This does nothing but allow for him to live. My oppinion is we drop a nuke and level the place. I don't see much support there. It seems like the majority aren't even thankful for our help. As we all know though, oppinions are like assholes, everyone has one.

Air America the saga continues
Michelle is on this story like white on rice. She's got the detail and the lowdown on the
latest about Air America's financial problems. So: by Franken's own admission, Air America's current owners have known for months that their network received a large cash infusion from Gloria Wise Boys & Girls Club, a non-profit organization funded primarily by government grants. Presumably, they also knew that Gloria Wise's director of development at the time the money was transferred was also Air America's chairman at the time--a glaring conflict of interest.
Hey I've got real work to do Ladies and Gentlemen. That will be about it for Howie today. I'm sure you are all like so upset about that. See ya tomorrow for WTW. Because it takes some trash to know some trash.

IÂ’m a little surprised that there isnÂ’t some kind of tax payer supported government program to keep Air Amerika up and running. If the liberals can make me pay to put a crucifix in a glass of pee on display as art, it seems like getting me to pay for FrankinÂ’s rant against all I value would be part of business as usual.
Does this network actually have to stand on itÂ’s own two feet as a profit center? Oh horror of horrors to the liberals. The checks have to clear, just like in my own home. Life is just too cruel and hard under Bush/Cheney.
I guess they had to steal from the kids, Bush made em do it.

"They" did not steal from children. That happens to be your characterization of Air America's financing issue. Surely, Air America will resolve these issues, correcting any and all improprieties, establishing proper and or monitoring any and all future financing efforts. That being said, we're back to the Neo Con-Men Republicans prancing around with full lip sticked mouths from which only lies and mis-information flow. Oh, 21 dead Marines dead this week, all due to the most serious lies of a President determined to earn his Republican bones through his unquestioned allegience to the Party's "daily talking points." While they died he lied and planned his vacation. Hmm, and you're out there slamming Air America. So desparate to have desent disappear, you along with your party of dysfunctional political lemmings can not fend off the facts Bush lied, you followed while others died!!!

Iran Iran Iran
It seems the
Brits are the target of the summer. Sketchy reports from Iran about the bombing of the BP and British Airways offices there. Some damage no reports of injury.
New leadership in Iran moves thumbs nose at international community including Russia who has offered to supply fuel to them for any power plant to ease international concerns that Iran is planning on making nukes. Well Iran if you donÂ’t want to make nukes then why the need to enrich your own fuel? Mr. Bolton, sick em. As long as we've got him might as well use him. I think he can be of help here See-Dubya. Really though Iran and Syria worry me.
According to Ali Aghamohammadi, the process will go on without delay. "The resumption is irreversible," he said.

Bolton or Iraq gee I think IÂ’ll go with Iraq
If you are tired of the steady stream of bad news coming from Iraq from the MSM you are not alone. IÂ’ve been looking for good stuff when I have time. Well today I stumbled across
another blogger who is doing a fantastic job of just that. He puts me to shame. Not hard to do but
you have got to read this. Plenty to keep you busy for some time. See I learn something every day.
A war for the future of Iraq is going on, no doubt about it, but not all of that war is being fought with guns and explosives. Terrorists and insurgents might be killing both soldier and civilians and sabotaging infrastructure, and the Iraqi and the Coalition security forces might in turn be hunting down the enemies of the new Iraq, but every step towards self-government, every new job created, every new school opened are a small victory against those who would want to turn Iraq's clock back three or 1300 years. Below are some of these stories that often get lost in the fog and smoke of war.
Also IÂ’ve neglected Feisty the last week or so. She has a pretty good post on HillaryÂ’s crusade to save the world from GTA. Some cool comments on the C64 and Amiga 1000. Kind of gives me the idea sheÂ’s older than she lets on.

Go sit on the bench marked group W.
It was two days ago on Friday thatÂ’s about 48 hours ago from today Sunday. When my Friends and I were all hanging out at RustyÂ’s blog.
But RustyÂ’s blog is not he name of the blog itÂ’s just the name of the song.ThatÂ’s why I call the song RustyÂ’s blog.
We all decided that it would be a nice gesture if we all posted stuff and commented on RustyÂ’s blog while he was on vacation.
So we packed up PCÂ’s, MacÂ’s and implements of destruction, loaded them all up in a green VW microbus and headed on over to the mu.nu domain.
When we got there we saw a pile of words. We figured one big pile was better than a bunch of little piles and rather than download his we decided to upload ours and thatÂ’s what we did.
Went home drank a bottle of homemade wine that couldnÂ’t be beat and didnÂ’t get up until the next morning. When we got a call from Officer Opie.
He said KidÂ…. Â…. We found your name on a piece of trash on the blog. We donÂ’t like your kind. And weÂ’re gonna move you down.
And after speaking of it for about 25 minutes on the gmail it came down to the fact that we were going to have to come down to the blog office.
When we got there was some good looking feisty girl sitting at a desk giving directions she said, “Go over there and wait on that bench marked group W”.
Group W is where they put you if you may not be moral or smart enough to post stuff on the blog after comiting your special blog crime.
There were all kinds of nasty critters sitting there on the bench. Greg, DSM, Greyrooster, IM, Filthy, Osama, Â…Â… There were commentrapers Â… Â… bloggerstabbers. Â…. .Â…bloggerrapers!!!Â…
They were all mean and nasty sounding and the biggest meanest ugliest bloggerraper of em all was coming right over to me and he was all mean and nasty and scary lookinÂ’.
He said, “What did you get?”
I said, “I didn’t get nothing, just had to pay $50 and let people read my garbage.”
They asked, “What are you here for?” and I said, “littering.”…. …. Well they all moved away from me there on the bench. …… ……
Till I said, “And creating a nuisance.” And they all came back and we had a good time talking about bloggerstabin’, comment rapin’, stupid postin’ and all kinds of groovy things.
Then Sith Master Rusty came over and said,
“Kid!”…………..
“Thisblog’sgot40000hits30000readers- 200regularcommenters23authorsi

bunchofpainsintheass Â…Â…. For 45 minutes and none of us understood a thing he said. But we had fun playing sol in tiny windows on our cell phones and filling out the forms there.
We all went back home had another glass of homemade wine that couldnÂ’t be beat and didnÂ’t get up until the next morning. When it was time to go back to work. .
IÂ’ve been typing this crap for 25 minutes and I could go on for another 25 minutes. IÂ’m not proud Â… Â… or tired. But IÂ’ll give you a break and save it.

Guest posters and regulars have at it, commentators too, remember you are without trolls this week. DonÂ’t let me get too bored or IÂ’ll post something or start an argument. IÂ’ll be around if anyone needs anything I should have a bit of time now and then. Rusty should be back next week.

Howie's digging out
Yeah I had a few minutes to give to the blog today so here goes.
Is or was Air America supported by dollars intended to feed the hungry? Michelle Malkin has more. Hey maybe weÂ’ll make Air America again.
Also see MichelleÂ’s post on the leftover bombs from the 7/7 terrorists.
Is terrorism a perversion of Islam? Mark in Mexico has more. Mark has tracked back to the Jawa several times before. Reciprocation is called for here.
Here is another story from Mark, about an Iraqi boy who learned first hand about America. He does not want to go home. LetÂ’s all wish him a safe and happy return home and an invite back.
Also for those of you who have noticed IÂ’ve been pretty busy and unable to blog much. But the good news is. I got that adapter and at least now I have a keyboard I can live with. Yep no more chicklets for me.
If you guys would like to annoy a terrorist supporter. Check this guy out, on this thread. IÂ’ll post a partial quote below the break. Spoofer?? I'm not sure but the email address certainly sucks. There are also several other candidates to annoy on this thread. As for his wish against the south and great midwest. Lick me freedomkiller.

You know Scotty always had just a bit of power left for the good Captain. I note this AM that James Doohan our beloved
Scotty has died this AM at 5:30 at his home in Redmond Washington.
Good bye Scotty We'll all miss you and thanks for all the good times.
Updated:
A few more notes on Mr. Doohan. He was a WWII D-Day vet with the Canadian army. He took six rounds loosing a finger and was saved by a silver cigarette case when one hit him in the chest. So not only did he play tough he was. He was born on march 3rd 1920 in Vancouver BC. He is to be cremated and his ashes launched into orbit. Mr Doohan suffered from Alzheimer's and Pneumonia upon his death at age 85. Last year he was given a star on the walk of fame.

Around the blogosphere
Ah yes what to post today. Well cool It looks like that has been taken care of by our good friends around the blogosphere. Thanks guys.
Elisa at Boxer Watch sends us these.
As we noted in this post, Senator Boxer is circulating a petition demanding a "strategy" and a "timetable" for the mission in Iraq. At the time of this posting, 35,352 people have signed her petition.
We need to make sure that President Bush hears the OTHER side - our support for his efforts to promote democracy in the Middle East in a realistic way.
We have posted a petition at PetitionOnline.com - you'll find it here
Romeodelta sends us this tidbit on the Germany releasing yet another terrorist
His post is based on this AP story.
Indeed one of my favorite words is now off limits. Gee hope I donÂ’t have to cough up 5 GÂ’s for that. Well like they can get blood from a turnip anyway.
Thanks to Glen Reynolds for his one.
Also President Bush will Announce Sandra Day O'Connor's replacement at 9:00pm EDT.
I think she will be confirmed easily.

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday SUNDAY!!!!!!
Well itÂ’s Sunday again. IÂ’ve said before that I will do a Sunday thing so now I have to live up to that. First of all Howie is pretty much pooped. So bear with me I debated doing a post or not but I said I would so here goes.
Not too far off on my 7/3 Sunday entry it was Thursday instead of Tuesday. Lucky guess huh? Been looking around the news outlets and the blogoshere this week. Pretty dull if you aren’t interested in “The Rove Affair”. Just what are they trying to drown out? Well it turns out quite a bit of good news in the world this week. The terrorists are on an all out blitz. See suddenly now the shoe is on the other foot. For a bit there it seemed that we were shooting ourselves in the foot every week. Mr. Murphy has gone over to the terrorist’s side for a bit. I’m sure he’ll be back now and then. I read yesterday of a push by the terrorists to take Baghdad. Every attack they kill like one or two soldiers and 20 to 50 Iraqi’s. Time is showing them for what they are. They now know they cannot win the political war and are resorting to trying to win now win big. The tool of terrorism has become a lead weight on their necks. That’s it boys shoot yourselves in the foot some more. Heck, even a Nigerian email scammer got time this week. Can there be any doubt.
I would not want to downplay the real feeling I had this week about a downhill run here. But a cornered animal is the most dangerous. The enemy has run himself into a corner and now people everywhere are starting to turn against him. Britain is going to become more active, Muslims themselves are turning away from bombing innocents to a certain extent knowing the evil is just too obvious to deny any longer. Yes a good battle for the hearts and minds this week. We've won that one this month so far. Feels good. I see President Bush is allowing aid Directly to Palestine and they are right now being tested to see if they can make it work. Things have been going well there and terrorist groups who get their power from the conflict are trying to stop it. Israel is also stepping up its pressure. I hope the Palestinian Authority can prevail here the wind seems right. My fear is that too much Israeli pressure plays into the terroristÂ’s strategy.
Got some links & stuff IÂ’ve saved up for a few days. Good and bad mostly good news followed by the terrorist shooting themselves in the foot again trying to take it back. DonÂ’t let them.
A good essay on Marketplace that IÂ’ve got to listen to again and learn more about by Stanford Unger. Some freedom of speech issues there to look into.
Also IÂ’ve been catching a good portion of 102 Minutes a book about the 9/11 hijackings that is so far pretty good. Still plenty left on Radio Reader. WKMS does streaming IÂ’m not sure how many steams they can do. The show airs weekdays at 6:30 CDT. Good book.
A fine example of how the world is getting harder for the enemy. Yes they are falling out of fashion because now at long last even our oldest and most fickle ally France yes can you believe it France is getting on board.
USS Neverdock has more on that one.
Yes Muslims too.
The economy is on the mend and dong well as is the Federal Deficit. Definitely not as fun as the Rove thing but vastly more important.
From my Illinois Republican newsletter.
"DEFICIT FALLING. The White House reported this week that the deficit is falling and will continue to fall due to strong economic policy, which has generated much higher than expected tax revenues. As a result, this year's budget will fall to $333 billion which is $79 billion less than in 2004 and $94 billion less than forecasted by the Bush Administration in February. The White House now expects the deficit to decline to 1.1% of gross domestic product by 2009. Currently it sits at 2.7% of GDP (RNC Research 7/15/05)"
Yeah I know but I used em last week too.
What does our enemy think about all this. Well they are really pushing. Up to 10 car bombs in one day. One attack I read of had two US dead and twenty innocents. They are letting off bombs like there is no tomorrow. I can see why. He has to win now and canÂ’t. So you are going to see more stories like this one from fear mongers ABCNEWS.
The Sadam Charges are OK but the Iraq bombing summary is pretty rough.
Also worth worrying about this week is Dictator Hugo Chavez. He has recently imported millions of guns for his military while at the same time moving to take them from citizens. This guy is consolidating power. Here you go YBP IÂ’m sure youÂ’re intrested.
"Venezuela's highest Catholic prelate on Sunday condemned President Hugo Chavez's rule as a dictatorship and urged Venezuelans to reject it in an attack likely to strain already poor church-government ties."
Given the desperation of our enemy I would think this summer we all need to keep an eye out. I check out the
Northeast Intelligence network every week or so. This week the chatter is pretty serious looking forward for the summer. Remember the enemy needs this one. If they have no spectacular success and the current tactics keep going like the London bombings or Iraqi bombings itÂ’s just a matter of time. They are loosing and are desperate to get it back. What a difference a couple weeks can make.
IÂ’ll be out Monday so guest posters are welcome as Rusty indicated. With my Master absent I can use all the help I can get. IÂ’ll be available by email this week. And you guys behave Mad Dog is watching. IÂ’m such a push over and he isnÂ’t. Have a great week IÂ’ll be back now and then and on Wednesday. With Rusty out IÂ’ll try and keep an eye on things. Time for a glass of that fine wine I made. Yes the little woman and I are going to have a glass.
I shall not fear. Fear is the mind killer. Yes guys feel free to add to that one in comments. Be good.

Wow. After looking over the site it’s clear that if this guy created it he is making an effort to sound like a moron here. It’s very slick, very innocent looking. The are several areas including an “Islamic corner”. Also it has a separate area for women that you must email the site master to get access too. Hmmm. I wonder what other areas might be there that don’t show on the front page. Hmm. Where’s all the Arabic text. Hmmmm.. I’m not sure what this site is but someone was calling our attention to it for whatever reason. Well I guess it does not matter I’ve got everything including the IP address where the post was sent from.
Be aware of traps, gentlemen and good hunting Pajamahadeen.
While I was too dense to link to the page this does link to the Jawa archive for August 2004. Then search for 08/22 I will also post most of the entry below the break.

It's Time to Stick It to the Enemy in the GWOT!
Dr. Rusty,
There are several sites discussing they latest folks blowing themselves up and what may be the cause. In particular the Brits are beside themselves over learning it was homegrown 2nd generation youths who detonated.
Oh well - for more info see the discussion thread being led by Bill Reggio over at Winds of Change:
WOC Link
then follow the links to the other sites that have similar discussions. I linked back here re the dirty little secret that the Arabic men who sprang out of the desert can't seem to keep their hands off young boys.
Dr. Rusty I'm with you regarding these Jihadist sites need to be targeted. It's no big secret that the enemy uses the Net for command-control, recruiting, propaganda, and other evil purposes. The collective consciousness of the Jihadists is on the Net. Kind of like the Borg Collective.
They send messages concealed in the context of the photo or bury stuff in the meta files or steg them into the data files of the photos just like the kidde porn folks do. Gee I wonder if there is a relationship?
No big secret here however our alphabet soup agencies seem to have trouble getting enough translators to read the intercepts that look promising. Seems they have a tremedous backlog of backgrounds to do. Simple answer find Middle Eastern Christians who either speak Arabic or Farsi. No danger of them flipping or becomming counter-agents.
There are some good folks over at Internet-Haganah that patrol the net and attempt to squash or shut down these sites:
Link Here
They are always interested in learning about new sites. They continually pop up like the whack a mole arcade game.
This is war. Would we ever let the enemy gain air superiority over the battlefield? Hell No! But why are we giving them free run of CyberSpace? The Mad Mullahs of Iran and the Chinese (Our real enemy ala FOX Network's 24 Hours) are both actively blocking/filtering the free flow of information of their people. These tyrannitical regimes just can't have alternative points of view reaching their people. Seems the power of the "Big Lie" tends to fade a bit and they lose control of the people. Imagine that.
The last time I checked the following IT/IS giants are HQ'd here e.g. IBM, Intel, MS, Covad, Cisco, Motorola et al. Why the @#$% are we allowing these system blocks to remain. Aren't the US taxpayers paying for the US Military to provide an umbrella of security so that these companies can operate in reasonable safety and make a profit?
I'm also with you onthe idea of dealing with the GWOT as a law enforcement action is utter "Horse Pucky."

Rusty from another mother
I was just surfing through bookmarks to see what interesting tidbits I could find. Some of you may have heard Rusty Humphries before. Well he got a call from a gentleman from Florida of Iranian descent. The gentleman says itÂ’s likely that there are terrorists in the US. How does he know??
Paraphrased quote from a caller on Mr Humpries show on 7/14/05.
“There are fifty new mosques in the state of Florida alone in the last 10 years. They preach hate there to the Pakistanis to hate us as Americans and I know because I’m an ex-Muslim”
Link to Mr. Humphries' site.

This is such old news. Muslims have been preaching hatred in the American mosques for years. These are the same muslims that people work next to in city and state governments. These are the same muslims that liberal idiots protect saying what nice people they are. Yet, when alone with other muslims they turn into werewolves.
I cannot see why for reasons of national security these mosques cannot be bugged and evidence used to send them back where they came from.

Four More 7/7 Suspects Arrested in Pakistan
Not
the Pakistan? There's got to be
another Pakistan cause, the way I hear it, Pakistan is a moderate Islamic country. Oh, and despite the fact that an al Qaeda cell took credit for the mass-murders, the MSM is now reporting as
news that al Qaeda may have been involved. Brilliant.
MSNBC:
Meanwhile, officials have continued to expand their search to include the possibility that there was a link between the four suicide bombers and al-Qaida.
A police official in Faisalabad, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Reuters Friday that "security agencies have picked up four people. They were taken to an undisclosed location, but we were not involved in this operation."
On a serious note, Pakistan
is our ally in the war on terror. Not because they are a democracy, but because they are not. If the Afghanistan invasion taught the Pakistani state one thing it was that cooperation with the U.S. against al Qaeda is the safe route to survival. However, the vast majority of Pakistanis support the work of al Qaeda and Pakistan remains a state which claims to derive its legitimacy from Islam.
More on the Pakistani connection here.

Ah, good ol' Pakistan, they can't police their boarders because its not "under their control" and it's "tribal land" but they sure can occupy Kashmir with no problems at all!
I think it's time to turn the temperature up on both of our "allies" Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan for much more cooperation.

Rome wasn't built in a day, and draining a swamp requires dealing with its snakes and alligators, don'tchaknow? Most of the funding for terrorism still comes from Saudi Arabia, but we can't kill that golden goose just yet. This mess took a long time to make, now it will take even longer to clear up. I'd say that those being born today will still be fighting islamofascism and communism when we are long in our graves.

Yeah, that pretty much slayed me too. It's been splashed all over the MSM
(only one instance here) London suspects had U.S. connections. When in fact, as you read on, the "connections" are that one guy spent a single semester in college here five years ago, another's mother "may" have lived in Cleveland and he "may" have visited her there and a third "visited the US" once. NOW they're finally thinking about Pakistan? Give me a f***ing break.
And Pakistan is a necessary ally. A strategic ally. Not a "friend".

Imagine fighting a war against Muslims without Pakistans support. You'd get a few nuke crates on your own continent. Imagine INVADING Pakistan. The whole world would be a big nuke crater.
Better be friends with Pakistan if you're not the guys providing their plutonium. But feel free to piss them off, no-one important likes or cares about Usacs anyway.

Oyster, comoon. Why would terrorists attack England? The whole attack was Usacs work.
As long as everyone knows it's Muslims against Usacs, no-one really helps you. If stuff like London happens and proof that you did it isn't enough to nuke you, war becomes mostly white leaches of the world
(proud to be a part of this worlddestroying/owning/ruling übergroup using 80% of everything) against 3rd world Arabs, and then they would be really screwed, since violence and brutalities towards them would get no objections.
(Only people who really care about human rights violations and can publicly protest about it without injuries of any kind: lazy feminine people with personality issues that need to "help" meaningless people because of lack of own life in wimpy societies that submit to laws and rights (so the English/the French/Canucs/Swedes/Usacs))

Male chicken of wierd color:
Same as being insignificant in any other country, so no different from any of you, except that better, since I have no reason to worry about anything, since nothing effects me. Italy or France have never ever ever been big. Rome was big, but Rome was the city, the emperors and later the Vatican, never "Italy". France... big in America, Africa and Asia way back when. Takes no effort at all to beat the crap out of defenceless arrows:swords:shields:'n:spears savages vulnerable to every possible European illness. And still they go their parfumed Chiracie asses kicked everywhere right after the monkeys teamed up or got guns. Nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnever big in Europe. Only things "big" in Europe (not in some backwater retardolands) during these thousands of years of having a monkey-like creature populating it: Neanderthals, Cro-Magnons, Rome, The Holy Roman Empire (Germany), Mongols, Russia, Imperial Germany, Soviet Union, 3te Reich (Germany again) and now EU (totally owned by Germans (Holland, Belgium, Luxemburg, Austria, Germany)). And EU is here to stay unless someone crushes it (do so, I won't, I like this mess).
And if you meant Russia, well, we slaughtered them and ran them out many times, burnt down their countrys Europe-side two or three times, gave a sanctuary to Lenin so he could cause havoc among them and slaughtered some more of them soon after. So they're covered in our piss as they lick their deep and painful wounds and try to piss on us from a distance now that we can't just rip their throat open because of this wimpy modern world. (Finnish Spitz is loud for a good reason. Poodle, husky, shephard, bulldog or Siberian wolf, don't matter, if the foe ignores warnings and gets too close, no mercy. A strong killer instinct and smells danger miles away)
Brad:
...Hah. That Napoolion III and the Italofascist Silvio have only eaten food from Finnish restaurants, which, due to record low visitors
(fastfood-spots, pizzerias and restaurants get the combined amount 5,4 million visits a month, which is only a bit over once a month for each Finn), mimic the pitiful, unfilling, foul-tasting, minimal rabbitfood rations made with foreign recepies and ways of cooking, so it's the same shit served everywhere else
(Well, not in Texas, where food comes in the right size portions: enough for 2-4 hours of enjoyable eating. Actually tastes good too, if one likes barbecue and chili sauce in everything. (was there for a few days, (one reason for not... well, doing whatever I do here), ate this and that, completely redefined the word "fat", learned that fiery hot chili is as uneatable as very malty mämmi, also noticed how all the chairs were heavy metal and helluva wide in public places ((Have you noticed that your beer has no alcohol in it and still tastes horrible?)))), but with cooks who have never gotten enough comments about cooking it, since no-one eats in restaurants often enough to bother commenting about "trivial" mistakes.
So they have never eaten any Finnish cooking, just foreign cooking cooked by Finns or foreign cooks working in Finland.

If you whipped the Russians so bad how come they ruled your country for so long?
The only first I know of from Finland is the worlds ugliest female president.
Finnish Spitz is part cat and any of my dogs would have it for supper.
No worries about your EU. It will soon be run by Muslims. Anything the muslim turks wish, all the other muslims will scream for. A vote against anything turkish will be a vote against islam. The wogs breed like rats and without leaders like Saddam they will soon be the majority. So what Finland wishes really doesn't matter. The only thing that protects finland is its too cold for ragheads. Like all immigrants they only wish to live in the best places.
Quit smoking that stuff. It causes you to ramble incoherently.

Male chicken of unusual chickencolor doesn't seem to know anything.
0 I don't do drugs and all the pot in Finland comes from Holland. Also, thanks a friggin' lot for "liberating" Afganistan of the organisation that singlehandedly ended all drug production in the country that produced 80% of worlds heroin. Thanks to you, junkies have cheaper drugs now that they are returning to their normal lives again...
1 Russians "ruled" our country by letting us collect our own taxes and spend it all on our own and deciding everything ourself. The only thing they influenced was that we weren't Swedens infinite source of bloodthirsty, dreaded, vicious, merciless, out of control berserkers any more. The thing that actually caused us to disarm every Russian near our country, start supporting Lenins work and declare independence was that Russians tried to make us teach Russian at schools. (Already was, but since they told us to do so, suddenly we didn't wanna and chased 'em out.)
2 Of course it's the only first thing you know about Finland, you know nothing since you live in a bubble and everything you don't yet know has to be hammered in your head or burnt on your hand for you to know something outside your little world.
3 Thought you were a cat person. Well anyways, any Finnish Spitz could kill ten of any of your dogs.
4 Personally, I don't care. They can't survive here, so they might as well overrun everything else. Only Finns can exist in Finland, everyone else needs constant care to live here or they'll just wither.
5 No one gives a flaming chicken about EU rules and regulations anyway, so who makes the decisions doesn't matter. As long as there are nukes there will be no war between any people in Europe or elsewhere in or right next to countries that don't want to fight because their people are such greyroosters that they would have no chance against anything knocking hard on their door. And as long as NATO comes to Finland to make their troops fight our obligatory service noobs and looses every year like they do now, we know you suck and we can kick everyones ass anytime, since NATO (most of EU and Usa) is the second strongest military force there is. Right after Finland. How about a war? I'd love to invade you and everyone knows no one can use nukes or everyone does, that's the thing keeping world peace alive.

Compare and contrast
One of the ways you can tell an American soldier from his adversary is how they treat children, Muslim children especially. All you have to do is read Mad Dog VinnieÂ’s post from yesterday. And
Mike PecharÂ’s post from a couple days ago and you get a pretty good idea.
I found this little gem on ABCNEWS. Been looking for good news and this qualifies. It seems a young boy from Iraq was suffering from heart problems. What did our boys do? Well they helped out of course. I hope this little oneÂ’s recovery goes well and he gets to play and live a long and happy life. Contrast that with the 24 young people murdered by our enemy just to get at one US soldier. Come on you pigs they are kids. They want candy and they are smart enough to have learned that there is nothing to fear from an American GI unless you are his enemy. Unfortunately many learned to fear our enemy that day. Just keep it up, the contrast between us will be what wins the war for civilized people everywhere. Our enemy will be swept into the dust bin of history. Put there by the truth of what they really are, Murderers plain and simple.
“I am very grateful to everybody, to the American troops back in Iraq, to all Houstonians and I'm very grateful to the doctors who did the surgery," the father said nervously”

Greg is a moron who should be purged from society, as I've said before. I have no doubt that he would aid terrorists in any way possible, and may be actively doing so even now. He says he is from Texas, and there are plenty of radical mosques in Texas. I'll bet a dollar he's aiding terrorists in some way, that is, other than by propagandising for them on the internet.

London bombing mastermind detained in Egypt (UPDATED)
Here is a post with open source information on ElNashar.
I see this AM that Magdy el-Nashar has been caught in Egypt. It is believed he is the mastermind behind the london bombings. Way to go Egypt hand him over.
CNN news story.
Hooray!!!!
UPDATE by Admiral Rusty Shackleford: It's too early to call him the mastermind, there is a Pakistani national still at large who has been described that way, but he certainly was a central actor in the scheme. It was in his apartment that the bomb-making equipment was found placing him squarely in the middle of the conspiracy. And since my readers are so much more well-informed than, say, the average anchorman on CNN and have known that Magdy Mahmoud Elnashar was a grad student at NC State since early yesterday, they might want to check out this post from William Teach and click through the links (hat tip, Basil). Are college towns the next logical targets for terrorists?
Here is what The Mirror has to say. Be sure to scroll through and find the shocking revelation that Nashar was a devout Muslim who apparently couldn't keep his yap shut about the Religion of Peace for more than five seconds:
A KEY suspect in the London bombings has been held for questioning near Cairo, Scotland Yard said today.
Egyptian security sources identified the man to be Magdy Mahmoud Elnashar (left), a bio-chemist thought to have links to a Leeds flat being searched by anti-terrorist officers.
The 33-year-old bio-chemist is believed to have handed the keys of a terror base in Leeds to the four killers.
He is also thought to have been close to Lyndsay Jermain, a 19-year-old Jamaican also known as Abdullah Shaheed Jamal, suspected of being the fourth member of the gang.
More information on El-Nashar below.
Updated again.
The explosive TATP has been found in Magdy el-Nashar's appartment.
The BBC.
"Explosives found in a house in Leeds are said to be similar to those used in al-Qaeda attacks and made from ingredients available in high-street chemists."
CNN
"One of the sources said that investigators found the TATP in the Leeds apartment rented by Magdy el-Nashar"
I had nothing to do with the explosion I just have bombs laying around all the time. Yeah right.

Every time someone asks, and not without merit, why is it we make such a fuss over some countries, and give others a pass? The answer is simple; some countries are useful to us "as is", while others must be dealt with. Egypt must also change eventually, but not just yet, for various reasons, as with Saudi Arabia and other counties. You don't start an avalanche by trying to push the mountain down, you start by dislodging the small stones first. Enough small stones in motion will bring a mountain down. I'd say free, voting, unoppressed people in two islamic countries could count as many small stones. The islamic world is changing, person by person, slowly but surely, and the change will be irreversible. How can you keep someone in darkness once they've seen the light?

Al Qaeda Arrest in Iraq Linked to Murder of Egyptian Ambassador
Good news from Iraq. It looks like we may have got the man responsible for
the murder of Egyptian Ambassador Ihab al-Sherif. That's two al Qaeda cell leaders caught in the last week.
Off with their heads!
AP:
The U.S. military on Thursday announced the capture of two key members of Iraq's most-feared terror group, including one suspected in the kidnap-slaying of an Egyptian envoy and attacks on senior diplomats from Pakistan and Bahrain.
Khamis Farhan Khalaf Abd al-Fahdawi, known as Abu Seba, was arrested last Saturday following operations in the Ramadi area west of Baghdad, the U.S. military said in a statement.
He was accused of involvement in the abduction and killing of Egypt's top envoy in Iraq and attacks on Pakistani and Bahraini diplomats earlier this month.
"Seba served as a senior lieutenant of al-Qaida in Iraq, and is suspected in attacks against diplomats of Bahrain, Pakistan and the recent murder of Egyptian envoy, Ihab Salah al Din Ahmad al-Sherif," the U.S. statement said. "Al-Qaida ordered the attacks against Arab diplomats in an effort to reduce support for the government of Iraq according to a military spokesman."
Another al-Qaida in Iraq lieutenant, Abdullah Ibrahim Mohammed Hassan al Shadad, or Abu Abdul Aziz, was captured Sunday, the command said. It said Abu Abdul Aziz was a top lieutenant of al-Qaida in Iraq leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi and served as operations officer for the group.
The statement said Abu Abdul Aziz was cooperating with coalition forces.

That Banner of Songun dude from North Korea was telling us about some kind of Secret “Weather machine” the US had. He accused America of using this apparatus to ruin the rice crop in North Korea this year.
This brings up two questions for me:

2. Do they have tin foil in North Korea?

Body of Last Missing Seal Found in Afghanistan
The Taliban had announced that the missing Seal had been captured and then beheaded. This just goes to show how full of shit the Taliban are. The Seal was killed in action and was not captured. Rest in Peace.
WaPo:
The body of a missing U.S. commando has been located in eastern Afghanistan, the military said Monday, bringing an end to the desperate search for the last member of an ill-fated, four-man special forces unit that disappeared last month.
One of the four men was rescued on July 3; the other two were found dead the next day.
The body of the fourth U.S. Navy SEAL was found Sunday in Kunar province by a search and rescue team, the military said in a statement. It said all indications are that he died in fighting, despite a claim by Mullah Latif Hakimi, a purported Taliban spokesman, that he was captured alive and beheaded.
"The location and disposition of the service member's remains indicate he died while fighting off enemy terrorists on or about June 28," the statement said.
U.S. military spokesman Col. James Yonts repeatedly denied Hakimi's claims.
"There have been claims of being dropped on a mountain wearing red clothes, there have been claims of being beheaded," he said. But "there was no indication supporting the claims. ... This individual was never in custody, he was never defamed or disgraced."

No surprise there YBP, the Lie is the most powerful weapon of modern war. Propaganda has always been valuable, but now that we have the ability to ditribute information around the globe instantly, it has become the first strike weapon of choice. Of course, the means of delivery, mass media and the internet, have to be monopolized by the propagandists in order for the Lie to be effective, and monopolization of information is sharing an apartment with the dodo bird. In this modern age, where every pajama-clad soccer mom and combat soldier, and everyone in between, can have a blog, the Lie is like a water balloon thrown at a castle, it bursts on impact and only causes a temporary wet spot which soon dries and fades. Of course we have the Chicken Littles like little Marky Zuniga and his sycophants who believe the water balloons are really dangerous, and run around screaming that we should not provoke the balloon tossers, but they are ultimately inconsequential as everyone who is initially shocked by their rantings eventually figures out that the sky is not falling.
The real problem lies in the fact that there are massive flocks of Chicken Littles whose hysterical rants continue, 24/7, unabated by reality and who are insensible to reason or logic. These are the people who live in perpetual fear that the climate is going to cook us, the the Jews are going to enslave us, and the Eeeeevil Republicans are going to make us behave as responsible adults. For them, the sky never ceases plunging toward them, the Hour of Doom is forever at hand, and the only thing to do is join hands and sing Kumbayah. Most ironic of all their absurdities though is the fact that they don't see, or can't see, or won't see, the very real dangers that inhabit our world and threaten us constantly, dangers that are very real, very quantifiable, and very much defensible against if only we weren't so distracted by the latest hysterical ravings regarding the sky hurtling downward to crush us.
There is hope though; as free access to information spreads across the globe, like the sun breaking through a fog, people are becoming aware. The Chicken Littles now have the ability to let everyone who has access to a computer or cable TV know that the sky is falling, but people also now have the ability to Google "sky falling", and instantly find all the information they could possibly need regarding such impending catastrophe and the lack of certainty pertaining thereunto. Of course there is a large worldwide community of Chicken Littles, and they go to great lengths to support one another's predictions, but most people in the world are sane and smart enough to be able to eventually figure out that it isn't the sky to watch, but the screaming idiots who build bombs with which to kill innocent people. Let them cackle, but ignore them when you can, and make Chicken Little soup when necessary.

About that propaganda thing being the first strike weapon of choice. Consider this:
"We are seriously preparing media material that will reveal the facts, call forth firm intentions, arouse determination, and be[come] an arena of jihad in which the pen and the sword complement each other." - Abu Musab al-Zarqawi

YBP and IM have brought up a very important and touching point. The families of those murdered.
Imagine seeing your son on a video tape. Not killed in battle. But slaughtered by the lowest form of humanity.
If my son dies in battle I'm going to cry.
If my son is captured and slaughtered I'm going on a raghead hunt that the world will hear about. I will be a indescrimate as they.
I refuse to make excuses for these animals.

First in answer to YBP: The US will not only survive, but it will be stronger for it. Utopian idealism is fine, but we still live in the real world, where savages eternally wait just outside the light of civilization, looking to waylay innocent people. A few words on comments.

Well I have been arguing with myself for a couple days about this. As many of you are aware Mike Pechar hit a home run on the London bombings the other day. He had more trackbacks than a dog has fleas. Also he was drawing comments from the world over at an astonishing rate. Well that was until a couple comments seemed to slow many others down or drive them away all together. IÂ’m really trying hard to say this in fair and unbiased manner. So if I piss anyone off I just want to say up front that is not my intention. I hope that we can all enjoy the web site and have our comments read by the widest possible audience.
I noted that the thread was accumulating comments left and right. We were picking up new readers. All our statements and comments were being read not only by regulars here but also potential new readers as well. People from all over the world. Then came the insults to the queen and the profanity. Personally I thought that the insults the queen were particularly in bad taste considering the events of the day. After that it became the Greg and Carlos show. Other comments especially from new readers seemed to vanish. I think MikeÂ’s thread could have easily went over two hundred comments had we just thought about it for a few more seconds before we hit that post button. See not only did Mike loose readers so did you. I know several of you like to go around and piss on every post like a dog on patrol. That is fine and dandy with me. For the most part I enjoy most of it. If you would just take a couple minutes to consider what thread you are on and also that you are shitting in your own nest. You not only drive off MikeÂ’s readers, which was totally unfair to him. You also drive off readers of your own comments and ideas.
IÂ’m not really into banning and if you think that deleting comments is that hard IÂ’m sure I can figure it out should I choose to. I have pretty much free rein as far as permissions go. And itÂ’s mostly a matter of point and click and taking the time to do so. All I ask is that you consider the thread and if you want to piss all over one choose an appropriate thread. Any thread is OK with me after the other comments have died out a bit but this one was still pretty active. Like I say you not only drove off MikeÂ’s readers but yours as well. I see you guys out here every day and I know and understand what is jest and what is not(well at least some days). But other readers especially on a day when we have the potential to grow our audience are not used to that and may be quickly put off.
So this is just some friendly advice. Carlos and Greg are just the examples of the day and are by no means the only ones. In fact they come up with some really good stuff some days. I think a lot of people come here just to read the arguments and your comments are welcome on my threads and appreciated. Characters like Greg that people love to hate draw an audience to a certain extent. IÂ’m not sure where the line should be but I think we may have crossed over it the other day. So IÂ’m not trying to pick on you guys itÂ’s just that on that day you happened to be the ones I noticed. Also YBP seems to have a pretty good sense of what is a little too much and I appreciate his attempt to bring order to the thread.
For any new readers itÂ’s just that way and you may have to overlook a few things but donÂ’t let it discourage you from posting a comment. Just ignore it if you can. Should you confront them, that is just more encouragement for them. They are pretty good at arguing so you may loose that fight. Well thatÂ’s all the preaching I have in me for today. IÂ’m sure Rusty will have his own opinion about this. I really donÂ’t know what that will be he is pretty tolerant as I am. Just a few more seconds of thought and all of us could have picked up more readers for all the authors and also the commentators. Radical statements do get attention both good and bad and I see that some of you make them just to get notice. Be careful that you attract readers and donÂ’t drive them off. ItÂ’s a thin line for sure and walking it is difficult, try not to get too carried away. I thought about addressing each of you on a personal level by email. So please by all means feel free to email me or post your dissent or agreement below.
And YÂ’all have a good one.

Also, some advice to the rest of you lot: engaging in colorful anatomical imagery may be good for a few laughs among the locker room set, but these are trying times and innocent lives are at stake, so how about a greater emphasis on facts and logic, and leave the nightmarish raving to the real lunatics out there.

Police hunt 'mercenary' terror gang recruited by al-Qa'ida
Police and intelligence agents are investigating the theory that a gang of white "mercenary terrorists" was hired by al-Qa'ida to carry out last week's devastating attacks on London.
Translation: "The witnesses all saw white guys placing the bombs, so we gotta figure out a story by which we can keep the blame on them Aye-rhabs. With over 6000 video cameras monitoring the subway system, there are no pictures of Aye-rhabs with bombs. It follows that the Aye-rhabs must have recruited Englishmen for this attack. Power told the host that at the exact same time that the London bombings were taking place, his company was running a 1,000 person strong exercise which drilled the London Underground being bombed at the exact same locations, at the exact same times, as happened in real life.
The transcript is as follows.
POWER: At half past nine this morning we were actually running an exercise for a company of over a thousand people in London based on simultaneous bombs going off precisely at the railway stations where it happened this morning, so I still have the hairs on the back of my neck standing up right now.
HOST: To get this quite straight, you were running an exercise to see how you would cope with this and it happened while you were running the exercise?
POWER: Precisely, and it was about half past nine this morning, we planned this for a company and for obvious reasons I don't want to reveal their name but they're listening and they'll know it. And we had a room full of crisis managers for the first time they'd met and so within five minutes we made a pretty rapid decision that this is the real one and so we went through the correct drills of activating crisis management procedures to jump from slow time to quick time thinking and so on.
The fact that the exercise mirrored the exact locations and times of the bombings is light years beyond a coincidence. Power said the drill focused around 'simultaneous bombings'. At first the bombings were thought to have been spread over an hour, but the BBC reports just today that the bombings were in fact simultaneous.
Mr. Power and Visor Consultants need not have been 'in on the bombing' or anything of that nature for this to be of importance. The British government or one of their private company offshoots could have hired Visor to run the exercise for a number of purposes.
The exercise fulfils several different goals. It acts as a cover for the small compartamentalized government terrorists to carry out their operation without the larger security services becoming aware of what they're doing, and, more importantly, if they get caught during the attack or after with any incriminating evidence they can just claim that they were just taking part in the exercise.
This is precisely what happened on the morning of 9/11/2001. The CIA was conducting drills of flying hijacked planes into the WTC and Pentagon at 8:30 in the morning.
It is clear that at least five if not six training exercises were in operation in the days leading up to and on the morning of 9/11. This meant that NORAD radar screens showed as many as 22 hijacked airliners at the same time. NORAD had been briefed that this was part of the exercise drill and therefore normal reactive procedure was forestalled and delayed.
The large numbers of 'blips' on NORAD screens that displayed both real and 'drill' hijacked planes explain why confused press reports emerged hours after the attack stating that up to eight planes had been hijacked.

Terror Expert Backs Up Claim Of Netanyahu Warning Before First Blast
Action News 36 | July 09 2005
Terrorism expert Tommy Preston of Preston Global in Frankfort, Kentucky, said sources in the intelligence community reported that at least one person in London, England was warned of Thursday morning's terrorist attacks moments before the initial blast. Preston, citing sources in the intelligence community, said former Israeli Prime Minister and current Finance Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, was in London this morning for an economic forum. "Just before the first blast, Netanyahu got a call from the Israeli Embassy telling him to stay in his hotel room. The hotel is located next to the subway station where the first attack occurred and he did stay put and shortly after that, there was the explosion," Preston said.

Howie:
This is a blog where the entire format is an insulting spoof of arab muslims using dorky little star wars characters and analogies. The bombing, to say the very least, is an event that will draw out powerful emotions in people...and given these two facts, you are requesting some sort of civil discourse in the commentary?
What did you expect?

Well by golly I'm convinced! Who could imagine that the world's best intel agency might have gotten evidence that gave them reason to suspect a possible terrorist attack? Nah, we all know it was da Jooooooooos what did it, same as they attacked the Germans, same as they started the Six Day War, same as they started the Yom Kippur war, same as they hijacked all those planes, same as they kidnapped all those people, same as they set off all those suicide bombs, same as they blew up the WTC..., no wait, those were all done by nazis and islamofascists. Oops.

People like Greg make blogs hard reading.
A blog's main advantage over news groups is that each one that allows comments is, effectively, a moderated news group. Better to start an "alt" group than not trim out the trolls and idiots. At least we can killfile people in usenet.
Do you know if a comment's author could be listed at the top of a comment so we know who it is from so we can just jump over the ones we do not want to read?
I don't know anything about RSS. Does it allow a killfile function?

"Blair rejects calls for probe into bombings
Tony Blair will on Monday reject Conservative demands for a government inquiry into last week's London bomb attacks, insisting such a move would distract from the task of catching the perpetrators.
As police and security services continued searching for the bombers - thought to be Islamist terrorists - Downing Street said the prime minister believed an inquiry now into the outrage which killed at least 49 people would be a "ludicrous diversion." "
Absolutely incredible! Got something to hide Tony?
As I recall, Bush didn't want a 9-11 investigation either. When he finally asceded, the investigation was a sham.

Thankyou for your comments guy's or gal's. But of course, I am not sleeping. I know the vast majority of decent Americans are and will stand "shoulder to shoulder" with us during this time.
Life is full of risk. When I was growing up in London, there were frequent IRA bomb attacks. I walked out of Harrods just five minutes before that notorious bomb exploded. But it didn't get me. Indeed, the chances of terrorists getting me - or any other individual living in London are still minuscule. Millions of us use the Tube every day and emerge unscathed. That can, of course, be no consolation to those who were caught up in Thurday's attacks and to their family and friends. But those of us who were not hurt must not allow the terrorists' to "get" us psychologically too.
A terrorist organisation such as al-Qaeda calculates that, say, forty deaths can cause ten million people to live in fear, to cease to use the Tube, to think about moving out of London altogether. If true, that is a very effective hit rate. But it depends crucially on us fulfilling the role they have designed for us. We don't have to. We can show the terrorists - after all we did it to the Germans in the Second World War - that we won't let their bombs change our way of life. We don't have to be cowed. We can choose instead to be proud of our courage in the face of adversity, and of our determination to carry on our lives regardless. That is the true British spirit.
Last week an Islamist website linked to al-Qaeda claimed that "Britain is burning with fear". Let us not give them the satisfaction of believing that. Let's get back on the Tube, back on the buses and back on the streets. Britain deserves no less.

Latest from Howie

I thought this post by Dean Esmay was pretty good. At the top of his site it says “Defending the liberal tradition in history, science, and philosophy”. If he is liberal he certainly is not your typical militant liberal as he really has it in for dailykos. Who apparently did a mass banning. I also note Dean does not link our site. He might get a few bad comments here but I really think it’s worth the read. I also note he supports the war effort.
Carping that strategy X is "failing" is a child's game. Grownups analyze and say, "Okay, maybe strategy X isn't perfect... but can I name a better strategy?" If you can't, then, quite seriously, all you're doing is being a defeatist--and, in this case, acting as an apologist for fascists.
I noted that Dean wasnÂ’t getting many trackbacks to his position on this issue from other liberals or anyone for that matter. IÂ’ll give him one.
Related chain of posts.
Interesting huh?
You know I really donÂ’t care much about a personÂ’s political leanings. Stupid has to be the greatest enemy. Followed closely by apathy. When it comes to the war we canÂ’t afford political childishness. I was worried that we had forgotten this is a war and started playing the same games we play with other issues. But I guess we all got a big reminder this week didnÂ’t we. LetÂ’s not slip back there again. WeÂ’ve got to push on because at least one commentator here I know worries about his child having to fight. I hope he doesnÂ’t have to and there are people working very hard right now to make sure he doesnÂ’t. I work with a gentleman, his son is in his fourth month of a 12 month tour in Afghanistan. People are fighting and dying every day. Too much mercy on the enemy is cruel to everyone including them. It prolongs the war for everyone. We can sort that out after we win which we will after much struggle and heartache. Will it be worth it? Well only time will tell us that one but the fight is in progress NOW.
Also Michelle points out some bad comments made on NPR. I listen all the time. If fact I'm wearing my WKMS tee shirt right now. IÂ’ve especially enjoyed liberals stuttering along the last few days. Shields on the News Hour last night was especially having a tough time. It was great. They all want to say see I told you we would be attacked. But the lack of sophistication of the London attack shows the weakness of the terrorists. Primitive at best and possibly carried out by just a few people. I dare to say maybe even just one. While a success it was at best a limited one. I donÂ’t want to get too cocky here though it also demonstrates a danger. More and larger attacks are possible in my opinion. Not to belittle the suffering and my gratitude for EnglandÂ’s support, but it could have been much worse. Some are saying how sophisticated. Well they were just bombs and timers. In my opinion if you have the stuff it doesn't take a rocket scientist. I wish ABC would stop it with the fear mongering.

My only response is this (hehehe):
July 8, 2005 | Istanbul, Turkey -- First one sheep jumped to its death. Then stunned Turkish shepherds, who had left the herd to graze while they had breakfast, watched as nearly 1,500 others followed, each leaping off the same cliff, Turkish media reported.
In the end, 450 dead animals lay on top of one another in a billowy white pile, the Aksam newspaper said. Those who jumped later were saved as the pile got higher and the fall more cushioned, Aksam reported.
"There's nothing we can do. They're all wasted," Nevzat Bayhan, a member of one of 26 families whose sheep were grazing together in the herd, was quoted as saying by Aksam.
The estimated loss to families in the town of Gevas, located in Van province in eastern Turkey, tops $100,000, a significant amount of money in a country where average GDP per head is around $2,700.
"Every family had an average of 20 sheep," Aksam quoted another villager, Abdullah Hazar as saying. "But now only a few families have sheep left. It's going to be hard for us."

This is off topic, but I think it may interest you. Condit is running for US Congressman in a special election in Ohio.
I didn't make this up, I simply am reporting the news. I wonder how long it will take for this guy to get capped.
The following are two of Condit's ads that he has planned. These ads will be short and run several times a day, if everything goes well, and will mention the one-hour radio shows that he's planned to hit the airwaves soon. His ad called "Phase II of 9-11" reads as follows:
"The 9-11 terror attacks against the World Trade Towers in 2001 were a pre-planned operation to kick off World War III -- perpetrated by evil factions, hiding within U.S. military intelligence, who are secretly loyal to Israel and the organized Jewish lobby. Arab patsies were set up as the Lee Harvey Oswalds of 9-11, to be framed on cue by the Jewish-controlled TV networks. Phase 1 of 9-11 was to trick Americans into supporting attacks on Arab countries, and to get U.S. soldiers stationed PERMANENTLY near Israel. THAT is why U.S. troops are kept in Iraq now -- nothing to do with the interests of the USA. The SECOND HORRIBLE TERRORIST ATTACK, if they can get away with it, will be to start a draft of our children, to attack other Arab countries, and to trick us into giving up our constitutional freedoms. Listen to our full hour radio show Sunday night at 10 PM on 550 AM WKRC, and for info and hope, go to www.realnews247.com . Paid for by Jim Condit Jr. for Congress 2005."
You can see why the Israel-firsters would be fearful of a message like this, as it makes people think. Of course, Condit is not new to controversy: Previous messages he has run while campaigning have said similar things, as well as highlighting the plight of the U.S.S. Liberty victims -- Americans who were murdered by Israel, while our government stood by and did nothing. Condit's other radio ads have sent shock waves across the land. But now he is running for the only vacant seat in the land, and his message will be heard louder than ever!
Condit's other ad, which will be run alternately and is called "Spread the Word," goes like this:
"I have one minute to ask you to consider disbelieving the dangerous, war-mongering Jewish lobby propaganda you're hearing the other 24 hours a day and 52 weeks a year on the big TV Networks and radio stations. The other spot we're running tells you why our nation's greatest enemy, the domestic Jewish Lobby, is trying to keep our American soldiers dying for their evil agenda in the Mideast for DECADES to come. There are at least ten more important messages for you to hear or read at www.realnews247.com. Use the 'tell a friend' option at www.realnews247.com to alert your contacts nationwide about this suppressed information, and what we can all do about it. Listen to our full hour radio show Sunday night at 10 PM on 550 AM, WKRC. For info and hope, go to www.realnews247.com. Paid for by Jim Condit Jr. for Congress 2005."

My liberalism is of the classic variety, meaning open-minded and open to hearing multiple points of view and ideas for reform. It does not mean "I have holes in my head" or "when something bad happens, I don't immediately wonder what America did wrong."
In any case, all real liberals hate fascists and don't make excuses for them.
As for whether I'm a socialist: gosh, well, I think we should have national health insurance, I think paying for education is a duty of the state, I favor gay marriage, and I take a very dim view of large corporations. So you decide what that makes me.
Just don't ever take me for a fascist apologist or an America-hater.

Don't worry Dean, we know you are one of the good guys, even though you hold different opinions on various social issues than do most of us, but that's the greatest thing about America; people with divergent views can come together at need. I am socially about 179° different from you but that's okay, we both love our country and put the interests of Liberty above personal differences, and that's what matters to me, because issues such as gay marriage, global warming, etc., don't matter one whit as long as there are islamofascists building bombs and plotting murder. As I like to say, only an idiot wants to argue about the color of the drapes when the house is on fire.

Aftermath of London bombing the search is on.
Late night for me. Though I'd get a post started.
Here is a link to eyewitness accounts from the BBC. There is some good first hand accounts of what happened. Pictures, videos and interviews too.
I see at the present time the BBC still has 37 or 38 dead 700 wounded. It will probably rise maybe a bit more.
Also the BBC has a link to staff reporter updates that looks frequently updated.
"Emergency services are continuing to help the injured after several explosions on the London Underground Tube network this morning, and on a bus in central London. BBC News correspondents are on the ground with the latest details."
Another new BBC link 10:00 at 4am in UK CDT.
ABCNEWS has update that says timing devices or parts thereof have been found.
As I listened to reports and comments from England today I was struck by the “stiff upper lip”. Old women, men, women just chatting away like the air hadn’t just been sucked right out of that Olympic bid.
And on a theme from comments from an earlier thread.
May God save the Queen!!!!
Really try out those BBC links they get up way earlier than we do and IÂ’m sure England will be humming right along. IÂ’ll check back at about 5:00 am CDT and see what is happening. Things look pretty quiet for the moment. The recovery and investigation seems well underway.
I am missing Rusty arenÂ’t you guys? Guest posters welcome.

Honor the Dead
HereÂ’s a comment I just posted to Dan Darling over at Winds of Change.
*****
We must kick the enemyÂ’s butt and right now! We must stay focused, our heads in the game, and keep our eye on the ball.
We must ignore the shots of the detractors from the bleachers.
We must win this war.

My thoughts are with the families of those who died and those people who are injured.
I hope 4 of the dead were suicide bombers and that the ones they took with them are.....well, the evil scum won't be having a good time with us Brits. We will soon be back to our usual pragmatic selves, no holding us down, we won't cower to these pieces of pig sh*t.
We have a superb police force who will get the swine who did this, hopefully they will kill themselves before they are captured and save us the bother of a trial and the expense of incarcerating them.

if the British could survive months of bombings during the Blitz in WWII by the Luftwaffe they can easily survive this terrorist bombing....they will pick up the pieces and move forward....the generations living there now might not be as tough as those during WWII but they will survive and kick the asses of those responsible for this cowardly act against the civilians of London

This attack is not as the Lefties like to say a result of the War in Iraq. If you remember there were several attacks from 1998 on up to our involvement in Iraq. 9/11 was well before we went back to finish what was started in Iraq. Even if it was about Iraq it is sickening to me that the Leftists will use that as an excuse for the terrorists killing innocent civilians.
